The Golden Years of Development

Your child is in a rapidly changing phase of their life. Between 0-3, a child’s brain is extremely active. New networks are being formed every day in response to things they see, hear, smell and do. These networks lay the ground work for  the rest of their life. This is why 0-3 is perhaps one of the most important developmental periods in a person’s life.

It is during these first few years that children go through what are known as ‘critical periods’. These are windows of time where a child’s brain is wired to learn a certain skill, e.g. the development of language. This makes therapy at this young age highly effective as the brain’s capacity to learn and make changes is at its highest. A child is never too young to start therapy.
